About STAGE
Supporters of Talented and Gifted Education is a volunteer community that advocates for educational excellence and opportunity for talented and gifted children in Naperville Community Unit School District 203. STAGE is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)3 status with the state of Illinois.
The following is a list of topics and events that STAGE coordinates throughout the year:
Informational Presentations from District 203– STAGE often will partner with District 203 for district based information. You can find past presentations here.
Speakers– Outside speakers discuss current topics related to the gifted community. Look here for our past events.
Summer Fair- A yearly resource fair where local companies display their summer programs for the public to view. (Usually held in March)
Twice Exceptional (2E)- Meetings focus on supporting parents with 2e (gifted/LD) children through the exploration of 2e topics, coupled with the sharing of experience, resources, and solutions to meet the needs of this unique and complex group of learners.
Book Club– This is a monthly group. Though many of the books are gifted-related, the reading does vary by month.
Parent Coffee Group– This happens about twice yearly. The group is often brought together to focus on a topic for discussion done in small groups.
Family Outings– This group focuses on getting families together for enrichment-based activities in the community.
